18m x 10cm, -9°C OLDHAM BAMBOO - This is an 'elite bamboo', good timber, good shoots, very erect form, cold hardy, a sterile clone that will never flower and die.  Probably native to southern China though not known to grow wild anywhere, found only under cultivation in China & SE Asia. Grown in Taiwan for its superior edible shoots. An attractive, erect species that can also be grown as a superb windbreak.
