CHUSQUEA coronalis

7m x 2.5cm, ?°C   Crown Bamboo
This one is considered by many to be the most beautiful bamboo in the World.  Lots of tiny leaves on drooping culms. The name coronalis refers to the arrangement of its small branches that encircle the stem giving appearance of a crown.  It is from high in the mountains of Central America.  It does best in cool climates but not cold.  It loves it here in Maleny.  It is semi-decidous, leaves turning yellow and brown in winter followed by a flush of new leaves in Spring.  It can make a beautiful pot plant.
